Erwin Shah Ismail is a computer network-engineering graduate who stumbled upon the late realisation that a deskbound work-life was just not for him. Erwin made the switch and is proud to be the first male Singaporean to graduate from LASALLE College of the Arts' BA(Hons) Acting programme. His accolades at LASALLE include "Twelfth Night" as Feste directed by Aubrey Mellow OAM; Charles Mee's "Big Love" as Nikos and William Inge's ""Picnic" as Howard, both directed by Adam Marple. In 2012, Erwin represented both LASALLE and Singapore at the UNESCO World Festival of Theatre Schools in Peru, performing an abridged version of Federico Lorca's "Blood Wedding". Erwin's repertoire also includes children's theatre in performances with ACT3 Theatrics, ITheatre and Imaginarts. After Spring Awakening, Erwin will be working with Ivan Heng in W!ld Rice's upcoming production of "Romeo & Juliet" as Mercutio.
His television credits include the General in "100 Wishes" Series 2 on OKTO and more recently, Rico, in the new genre-busting TV series, "The Kitchen Musical", airing in 19 countries. Erwin would like to thank his awesome parents for their constant support, love and care. '
